Set Up Agency SMTP

Connect Gmail, Microsoft 365, Zoho, or custom SMTP using host, port, username, app password, and SSL/TLS settings.

SMTP configuration is available for Professional and Enterprise agencies. It lets the agency send transactional emails through its own mailbox provider.

SMTP presets shown in AvelisseRent

  • Gmail SSL: smtp.gmail.com, port 465, secure enabled. Use a Google app password.
  • Gmail STARTTLS: smtp.gmail.com, port 587, secure disabled. Use STARTTLS with an app password.
  • Microsoft 365: smtp.office365.com, port 587, secure disabled. SMTP auth must be enabled in Microsoft 365.
  • Zoho: smtp.zoho.com, port 465, secure enabled. Region-specific hosts may be required.

Save and test SMTP

  1. Select Agency SMTP in Sender and provider.
  2. Enter the SMTP provider settings.
  3. Select Save SMTP.
  4. Select Test connection.
  5. Confirm the badge changes to SMTP verified.
  6. Send a test email and review Delivery logs.

Troubleshooting SMTP

If SMTP is not verified, review the Last SMTP message, check the host and port, confirm the username, replace the password with an app password, and verify that SMTP auth is enabled in the mailbox provider.
