Stripe payment events can change booking payment state after checkout. Review these states before confirming, cancelling, or closing a rental.

Failed checkout

If Stripe checkout or payment fails, AvelisseRent marks the payment attempt as failed. The agency should ask the customer to retry from the valid booking or reservation flow instead of manually trusting an incomplete checkout.

Refunded payment

When Stripe reports a refunded charge connected to a booking payment attempt, AvelisseRent updates the booking payment status to refunded. Review the booking detail and Stripe Dashboard before taking further action.

Disputes

Stripe disputes require operational review. Check the booking, customer contact details, vehicle handover records, contract, invoice, and Stripe Dashboard evidence. Do not treat a disputed payment as resolved until Stripe status is clear.

Support information

When escalating a payment issue, include the booking number, agency name, customer email, approximate payment time, and the visible dashboard message. Do not send full card numbers or private card data.
