Payment Statuses and Attempts

Payment status explains how much of a booking or invoice payment has been handled. Payment attempts track individual online Stripe checkout attempts.

Booking payment statuses

StatusMeaning unpaidNo payment has been recorded for the booking. deposit_paidStripe verified a partial online payment such as a deposit. paidThe booking payment is fully paid or was manually marked paid by the agency. partially_paidSome payment has been recorded, but the total is not fully paid. refund_pendingA refund has been started or is waiting for completion. refundedThe payment was refunded. partially_refundedOnly part of the collected payment was refunded.

Payment attempt statuses

StatusMeaning createdA checkout attempt was prepared. pendingThe customer was sent to Stripe and payment is not verified yet. paidStripe verified the payment. failedThe checkout or payment failed. expiredThe attempt is no longer usable. requires_reviewThe attempt needs additional review before it should be trusted. refundedThe payment attempt was refunded.

After successful Stripe payment

When Stripe verifies payment, AvelisseRent moves the booking to pending for agency confirmation. A 100% payment sets payment status to paid; a lower configured percentage sets payment status to deposit_paid.
